Your photos don’t suck,

Your edits do.

I know, sounds brutal.

But it’s true. If you’re new to photography and the world of photo editing chances are you’re stuck in the “I have no idea what any of this means or how to use it” loop?

In just 30 days I’ll show you exactly what each tool in Lightroom does and how to use it so you finally understand the platform and can master your edits confidently.

Does this sound right?

You feel like you take good photos but, for some reason, they just don’t look like the ones you see all over social media. Or, every now and then you get a photo that looks exactly how you want it to but have absolutely no idea why it worked.

Chances are, it’s your editing.

I get it!

Because 8 years ago, when I was just a 14 year old kid starting out in this world, I struggled with the exact same thing.

I had the camera, I felt like I had an eye for a good photo, but none of them looked like the photos of the photographers that I looked up to.

Which is exactly why I’ve made my Lightroom Editing Masterclass, the course I wish I had when I was that 14 year old just starting out.

Why is editing important?

A lot of photographers, especially beginners, yes you’re included, have a tendency to neglect half of the process when it comes to the art of photography. You take incredible photos but you’re leaving so much of their potential on the table because you don’t know how to edit them properly.

Photography is an art, art exists to make you feel something. Take music for example, whenever you listen to a song it gives you a feeling. Whether it’s joy, motivation, sadness, relaxation, whatever it is! It makes you feel something. Photography is exactly the same

Your photos are good, but they lack emotion.

Your photos should make the viewer feel something and editing is a crucial part of that process. Part of going from a good photographer to a great photographer is being able to capture the emotion of a setting in your edits.

That’s what I want to help you to do with the Lightroom Editing Masterclass.

Why trust some kid from New Zealand?

Look, I get it, you might look at this and even all of my polished photos on my social media and think “Well why would I trust him?”.

The truth is, back in 2018 when I first started photography, especially photo editing, I sucked, and I mean I really, really sucked. I couldn’t understand why my photos didn’t look like the ones I saw online. I couldn’t get a grasp of why some edits worked and why some didn’t. I couldn’t understand why my photos didn’t make me or anyone else feel anything. I just didn’t understand it.

But I was obsessed. Photography very quickly became the thing I wanted to do forever and still is. I spent as much time as I possibly could learning and practicing and doing everything I could to get better.

It took me at least 5 years to really understand what I was doing and actually grasp what it meant to really bring a photo to life through photo editing.

Truthfully, I’m still learning, I always will be, which means I’ll always have more to give you.

Don’t believe me?

Look, I don’t blame you if you still don’t believe me, so I’ll just show you.

2018

This is one of the first photos that I ever took on my dad’s old camera of my childhood dog, Molly (Best dog ever by the way). I was 14 years old and remember thinking it was the coolest thing ever…obviously, it’s not.

2019

This is from my 15th birthday with the first camera I ever got. It was a Cannon 750D and I went halves on it with my older brother. I thought I was automatically good because I had a camera. Again, obviously, I wasn’t…

2020

This was the year that things started to change. My camera started to come everywhere with me, I started to learn how to frame, shoot and edit as many different styles of photography as I could. This was the year that I knew this was what I wanted to do forever.

This was my final year of high school. During this year I started working as a photographer outside of school and my part time job in a butcher. It felt like it was actually going to work and yet still, I had teachers, friends, peers, even strangers telling me that there was no way I could do this. I’d be lying if I said that they didn’t put some doubt in my mind, but I had no plan B so still, I went all in.

2021

2022

My first year outside of school and probably the hardest year of my life. I got a job straight out of school working at a creative agency as a photographer and videographer. Then covid hit and everything became uncertain. Suddenly the dream job I’d just gotten felt like it could be gone in the blink of an eye. But, I put my head down even more, learnt as much as I could, and made it through the most turbulent year of my life.

This was the year that made it feel like I could do this forever. In January 2023 I was offered my dream job working as the content creator for the biggest rugby team in Wellington, The Hurricanes. So began the journey of working 7 days a week, creating, learning, failing and refining my style and my skills. I was just a 19 year old kid working with All Blacks rugby players and some of the biggest brands from around the world and finally it felt like I could do it.

2023

2024

This year taught me a lot about myself and my style. I’d left the Hurricanes and gotten a new job at a brewery (still as a content creator) and continued to learn as much as I possibly could about this art form and what I wanted my style to be and my work to represent.

2025 was the best year of my life and the year that I felt solidified my style, my abilities and my view on what I wanted my future to look like. I travelled, I failed at things and then, at 21 years old, moved halfway across the world to the UK to follow my dreams of being a photographer and content creator. Teaching others all the things that I’ve learnt from my years of trying, failing and honing my skills as much as a photographer.

2025

2026

All of this leads me here, to this masterclass. 8 years of working, learning and trying my best to master this craft that I love so deeply. Now, I want to teach it to you so that you can do the same. That’s why you should trust some kid from New Zealand, because I’ve been exactly where you are now.

So, you decide…

You can continue confused, frustrated and unsure why your photos just aren’t working. Or, you can join, learn and understand the tools and techniques needed to make your photos look and feel the way they deserve to.

Hey, I’m Zac, I’m originally from Wellington, New Zealand and now based in the UK.

I’ve been a professional photographer for about 8 years now and have been completely obsessed with it since day one.

I’ve now worked with some of the biggest brands and personalities such as Gomatic UK, K&F Concept, Insta360, All Black TJ Perenara, Hurricanes Rugby, Lululemon and many others and built my audience to over 100,000 followers across my TikTok and Instagram.

In the beginning of my career I struggled massively with photo editing, especially with understanding what I needed to do and how to keep my edits consistent across all of my photos. Which is exactly why I’ve built my Lightroom Editing Masterclass.

In just 30 days, you can skip all of the mistakes, confusion and frustration that I experienced in the beginning and jump straight to editing with confidence, consistency and your own unique style.
