These are real screenshots that I’ve taken of my TikTok account. The first, on the left, was taken on May 13th 2025, just a few days after I decided to start posting consistently for the first time. The second is from April 11th 2026. A 70,000 follower difference in less than a year.

I didn’t actually start posting on my Instagram properly until October 2025.
So here’s the actual story…
I spent 7 years mastering my edits, creating my style and working in the industry before I started consistently posting my own content.
Then I gained 100,000 followers in 12 months.
It’s true, after years of taking photos, creating content and building social media presences for other people, I decided to take everything that I knew and finally build my own.
I’d been posting on and off for a few years and had gained justunder 10,000 followers across TikTok and Instagram by pure luck. Then in May of 2025 I started posting on TikTok consistently for about 2 months and grew my audience there to 35,000 followers. I didn’t even touch Instagram during this time. Dumb, I know.
Then I went travelling and didn’t touch either of them for months. Again, dumb, I know.
Then in September 2025 I moved halfway across the world and decided to try and do this thing properly.
I gained 70,000+ followers in 6 months.
In the 6 months since deciding to give this thing a proper go and posting consistently across TikTok and Instagram I have built my audience to nearly 80,000 followers on TikTok and 25,000 on Instagram.
Just from posting my photos, my knowledge and being entirely myself.
